This role takes overall responsibility for the day to day management, control and operation of the Business Development Department at KCLSU. The post holder is responsible for building and managing KCLSU’s income generation including, but not limited to advertising, sponsorship, on-campus stalls and private venue hire. The post holder develops innovative and creative plans to achieve budgeted income and fosters strong and long lasting relationships with a range of stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will:
- Maximise income opportunities in line with KCLSU Commercial Strategy, Advertising and Sponsorship Policy and organisational values
- Effectively manage external clients’ needs to deliver mutually beneficial partnerships and measurably increase long-term contracts
- To develop internal and external relationships and partnerships that deliver activations and promotions that enhance student experience across all Kings College London sites
- Develop sponsorship packages for KCLSU ‘signature’ events and its broader activities
- Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of KCLSU’s Commercial Strategy
- Effectively manage and maintain the Sales Force client management system to maximise sales opportunities, in line with GDPR
- Support the Director of Services to develop business cases for new opportunities
- Lead on developing plans to grow private venue hire, working collaboratively with KCLSU colleagues to ensure we deliver outstanding service
