Building a better Union | Building Strand | Building Guy's | Building Denmark Hill | Building our brand
KCLSU moved into brand new spaces at Guy's Campus in 2016. We can now be found in the East Wing and West Wing located on each side of the colonnade at the entrance to Guy's Campus on St. Thomas Street.
Come to our West Wing to access the services of our KCLSU Hub, meet with Advice caseworkers in a comfy, dedicated space; use our activity and meetings rooms; or find KCLSU staff.
In the East Wing, we have a large bookable common space with varied seating and a meeting room collectively known as The Spit; our alcohol free cafe called The Shed, and our beloved Union watering hole, Guy's Bar.
Construction work currently limits movement at the entrance on St. Thomas. If you're unable to access the campus from the main entrance, you can always find us by walking up Great Maze Pond (the street in front of The Shard), take the first right, then the next right into our colonnade.
Construction at Guy's - until spring 2018
Boland House, the building which formerly housed KCLSU at Guy's Campus, is being repurposed as a cultural space called Science Gallery London. Construction work on Science Gallery London started April 2017 and continues into early 2018. The work also includes the regeneration of the Guy’s Courtyard, which is expected to provide a great entrance to our Union spaces and our campus.
Until the work is complete, expect noisy construction activities, scaffold erection and traffic movements around the courtyard. There will also be an impact from non-King’s construction projects, including UKPower Networks excavating pavements and roadways to lay new power supplies for a new Cancer Centre, continued work on London Bridge Station. as well as smaller developments in St Thomas Street.
