Overview

Join us on Zoom for our first welcome event of the year.

Medical school the opening act will explore what happens after medical school, how to pick a specialty and all the different training pathways including medical, surgical and GP training as well as top tips from expert and experienced speakers. In particular, delving deep into the surgical training pathway and exploring first hand experiences on surgical training.

We will also delve deeper into some specific specialties including Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology - with experienced clinicians giving unbiased views of their specialties as well as pros and cons, training, tips for medical students and much more. This event is open to all medical students and we hope to help guide both old and new medical students through their time at GKT and beyond. We will work to deliver unbiased views on different specialties to help you decided what to specialise in.

This is an ideal event for new incoming medical student freshers wanting to learn more about what happens after medical school and get a taster on how to go about choosing a specialty. Also for those considering Paediatrics or Obstetrics & Gynaecology as future career paths. :
