Overview

As part of National Poetry Month, take part in this explorative poetry workshop hosted by spoken word artist, songwriter and facilitator Miss Jacqui, of Writerz and Scribez. You will be taken on a journey to find new ways of writing by focusing on wellbeing and weaving through memories, music and the self.

  • Materials: paper and a pen. Also feel free to use any other materials you may have at home like colouring pencils or pens. No prior poetry or writing experience is necessary to join.

 

  • Please note you do not need to register for a ticket if you are part of the current CLA cohort.

 

  • About the artist: Miss Jacqui is an incredible artist spanning music, poetry and theatre based in London. A Black woman with a disability she is passionate about the importance of allowing people to tell their stories in their voice and creating spaces for people to be fully confident in themselves.
