Event Description

Thursday 21 November 2019

6pm - 7pm

College Chapel, Strand campus, London WC2R 2LS

Overview

Join us for the first part of our Trans Day of Remembrance events in the College Chapel, on Strand.

Come along to the vigil to pay respects to all the trans* people who have passed away this year due to transphobic (and in some cases homophobic) violence. We will be reading out the names of our deceased trans* siblings and observing a few minutes of silence.

This is not a religious event and is therefore available to absolutely everyone, whether religious or not.

?

Make sure that you're being safe and attentive to your mental health! If you think that this event and its environment might in any way make you feel uncomfortable, sit this one out. There will be plenty of events during Trans Awareness Week, and another Trans Day of Remembrance event. Your health is what matters most!

If you want to miss out on this part, we have another event right after this, which you can find under the following link: https://www.facebook.com/events/442267139761651/

?

The room accessibility will be updated ASAP.

There are multiple gender neutral toilets located around the room, with more information to be found under the following link: https://www.kcl.ac.uk/core-assets/maps/overview/gender-neutral-toilets.pdf

This is an alcohol-free event.

Safe space policy applies as always
