Overview

KCL Surgical Society's annual conference is back again this year with a weekend conference!! This year’s concept is centered on viewing surgery through different lenses, exploring facets that go beyond the traditional surgical subspecialties to delve into areas of research and innovation, surgical education, global health and the relationship between surgery and the arts and humanities.

The weekend will consist of a series of talks and practical workshops in the morning, based on streams of surgical skills, careers and portfolio development and innovation in education. For the first time, we will also give delegates the opportunity to participate in a surgical hackathon to challenge and foster their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities as they tackle issues facing global surgery in low and middle income countries!
