Overview

If you've ever wondered how to cook onigiri rice ball, kimbap roll or sweet mochi, then join us, Japan Society, Anime & Manga Society and Korean Hallyu Society! We will be inviting all rice lovers to join us for a wholesome cooking workshop where we will teach and indulge in the delicious world of East Asian Cuisine.    

Venue: Terrace Cafe, Macadam building, Strand  Capacity: 60 - 80 people  Date: 14th Nov, Thursday  Time: 18:30-21:00    Foods we are making;    

Onigiri Rice Balls  Rice  Seaweed  Fillings (some flavour contains fish)  Kimbap  Rice  Korean Seaweed  Fillings  Cooked meat  Eggs  Vegetables  Mochi  Glutinous rice   Red bean paste  Black Sesame paste  Corn Starch    

The foods served during the event will aim to cater for all dietary requirements; vegan options available & all ingredients are specified on a printed recipe. The Japan Society has submitted the risk assessment last month, as the event involves high risk food (meat & fish).    

We are also planning on providing 3 handouts, each of them include the recipe, cultural significance of the dish and other interesting facts.
