Overview

It's 1964. Billy Fisher is an undertakers assistant, he's also a comedy writer, and a war hero, and an astronaut and most of all a compulsive liar. Billy is 19 years old, he still lives with his parents and most of his time is spent wishing he was anywhere else. In fact not anywhere else, London! In his spare time he has managed to accidentally get engaged to two different women, neither of which knows about the other. In among all this, his first love Liz has just come back from London, and with her she has brought a whole world of possibility that Billy is finding hard to resist.
Billy Liar is a classic comedy about dreams, growing up and most of all about an ever growing and increasingly out of control web of lies
