Overview

?

Join us for our second Trans Day of Remembrance event in room 4.2 in Macadam Building, Strand campus.

After the vigil ( https://www.facebook.com/events/255329828484046/ ) we will be walking to Strand campus, where we will have a first ever Trans* Open Mic night! Don't let this fool you though - anyone and everyone is welcome, so feel free to bring your friends, even those from other unis (as long as you let us know 3 days in advance)!!

?

If you want to go on stage, message the KCL LGBT+ page, explaining in short detail what you want to do and we'll add you to the list - simply keep in mind, that on this day and with this event we should remember and honour our trans* siblings

It's a chance to make your voice heard! Whether you're alone or in a group, giving a short presentation, doing stand up comedy, singing or reciting a poem - we will be there to listen!

If you feel like doing this, but have no clue how to, also feel free to message the group - or Lux Step - and I can give you some tips and tricks! Not because I've done it myself, but because google is magic!

?

The times and the list of everyone performing will be published closer to the date, so be on the lookout!

?

The room is only accessible through the Strand building - further accessibility (e.g. ramps for wheelchairs) can be arranged with notice.

Gender neutral bathrooms are located throughout the building.

This is an alcohol-free event.

Safe space policy applies as always

?

If you have any questions related to the event, or if you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to message our Trans Officer Lux (he/they) or our Open Rep Isaac (he/him) through the KCL LGBT+ Facebook page.
