Tuesday 20 November 2018

5:30pm - 6pm

Waterloo Campus

Overview

?

Join us for the first part of our Trans Day of Remembrance events in room 1.2 in Franklin-Wilkins Building, Waterloo campus.

Come along to the vigil to pay respects to all the trans* people who have passed away this year due to transphobic (and in some cases homophobic) violence. We will be reading out the names of our deceased trans* siblings and observing a few minutes of silence.

This is not a religious event and is therefore available to absolutely everyone, whether religious or not.

?

Make sure that you're being safe and attentive to your mental health! If you think that this event and its environment might in any way make you feel uncomfortable, sit this one out. There will be plenty of events and another Trans Day of Remembrance related event soon. Your health is what matters most!

If you want to miss out on this part, we have another event right after this, which you can find under the following link: https://www.facebook.com/events/249569549246897/

?

The room is accessible by a ramp, a lift and manual doors. You can find full accessibility information about the building and all its rooms using this link: https://www.disabledgo.com/access-guide/kings-college-london/franklin-wilkins-building-2

A gender neutral bathroom is located on the ground floor of the building.

This is an alcohol-free event.

Safe space policy applies as always
