Overview
• As part of Wellbeing Week, KCL Muay Thai are hosting a special session open to all students and staff at King’s (members and non-members), free of charge.
• Physical and mental health are strongly interlinked - when these function at their best, we can achieve anything. This session aims to exercise both the body and the mind to help renew our energy, increase self-confidence and maximise productivity in other aspects of university life.
• Basic strikes, combinations and self-defence for the street will be taught by our esteemed coach Daniel Sam, who is currently ranked UK number 1 in the heavyweight division of Muay Thai.
• In contrast, the latter part of the class will comprise a stretching and meditation session. This allows a valuable opportunity for self-reflection, mindfulness and serenity, which we often have little time for in our daily lives.
• Furthermore, our event will be a great chance to relax, have fun and meet new people in a friendly and vibrant atmosphere!
