Overview

Black medical professionals have helped provide excellent care in the NHS for decades. On the 18th of October KCL’s ACMA wants to celebrate this achievement and history. During this event, NHS healthcare workers of African and Caribbean descent, both active and retired, speak on their experiences in the NHS and pass down the knowledge they’ve gained over the years.
During this event, speakers will share their experiences working as a black person in the NHS, and there will also be opportunities for networking between students and the healthcare professionals. In doing so we hope that not only will the speakers pass on their knowledge and any skills they have learned in their careers, and also inspire the next generation of black workers in the NHS.
