Our annual flagship event ‘European Week’ is themed “Europe under Pressure” and will cover a variety of Europe’s most pressing affairs through engaging discussions with well-renowned public figures. Among others for instance, we are delighted to welcome high profile speakers such as Sir Julian King (European Commissioner for the Security Union) and Associate Professor Burak H. Erdenir (Deputy Permanent delegate of Turkey to the EU).

The programme will be as follows:

-               12/02 EU-Russian relations: Friend or Foe?

-               13/03 The Threat of Terrorism within Europe

-               14/03 The Future of the European Union post-Brexit

-               15/03 The European Migrant Crisis and its Issues in the Security Field

-               16/03 EU-Turkey relations: the Beginning of the End?

The ‘European Week’ will be open to students and staff from all universities, as well as to members of the public. It will be a fantastic opportunity to hear from and debate with expert speakers from across the political sphere, academia, and the media on such relevant issues.

We look forward to welcoming you at what promises to be a fascinating week of discussion and debate!
