Somerset House Courtyard, off The Strand, London

Overview

Celebrate in style at London’s most beautiful ice rink

Enjoy memorable winter experiences on and off the ice. By day, skate in the splendour of the stunning Somerset House courtyard. Sommerset House have kindly offered students at KCL a special price via KCLSU Events – at £7.50 it is the cheapest student deal in London (usually £10.15) – a 25% discount just for us.

We have three sessions available daily so you can work it around your class schedule - 11.15am, 12.30pm and 3.00pm. These times are the start of the actual skate session (which last 1 hour).

PLEASE NOTE: To gain entry, KCL students need to arrive 20 minutes early, and show their student ID AND email confirmation to security at the Skate Hire tent (we'll have provided them a guest list ahead of time). You’ll be admitted to collect your skates, and check your coats / bags. We cannot refund after you’ve purchased your ticket, so check session times with your friends first! Please read the T&Cs carefully as well, these have been provided to us by Sommerset House. There are 20 tickets per session allocated to KCLSU

Sommerset House ‘SKATE with Fortnum and Mason’ will also feature the Christmas Arcade (a themed shop with lovely Christmas gifts and mementos), Skate Lounge and Fortnum’s Lodge (a festive café experience). These are not included in your skate ticket price, but can be booked separately to enhance your experience. For further information, please see the Somerset House Website
