5pm - 8:30pm

Student Centre West Wing Guy's Campus London SE1 9RT

Overview

In an era of austerity and uncertainty about the future of healthcare provision, how can arts and culture contribute to clinically impactful healthcare interventions?

As the future healthcare workforce, this event will provide you with an opportunity to share challenges you are facing as healthcare students and to think innovatively about possible solutions.

Join us Thursday 18 May, 5-8.30pm on Guy's Campus, for the first Arts & Health Hack, part of the King’s Cultural Challenge. Hear from specialists from leading organisations including Breathe Arts Health Research, Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation Trust and Science Gallery London.

Hear from these arts & health specialists;

Daisy Fancourt, Research Lead, Breathe Arts Health Research
Jen Wong, Head of Programming, Science Gallery London
Liz O'Sullivan, Arts Manager, Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation Trust

You will then be guided to generate your own ideas for an arts & health intervention to address particular clinical challenges. Cash prizes to be had!

Following this event, you will be invited to submit your arts and heath ideas for the chance to win a paid internship with Science Gallery London and Breathe Arts Health Research. This pilot programme will feed into a brand new student-led Commission on the future of the NHS which has been commissioned by Simon Stevens, CEO of NHS England.
