Overview

King’s Opera are pleased to present their production of Handel’s ‘Julius Caesar’, featuring a BRAND NEW translation by Ruth Knight. The opera explores Julius Caesar’s burgeoning relationship with Cleopatra, his rivalry with her brother Tolomeo, and the ensuing battle of the Nile. The production is set 200 years after Handel finished his original score and encompasses the Egyptophilia which heavily influenced the art deco movement of the 1930s. This production will feature singers from King’s College London and other London conservatoires. So be excellent chap and come along to support these incredible singers!
