Overview

King’s Musical Theatre is proud to present its spring term production of ‘Parade’. 'Parade', recipient of 21 Tony Awards, is the musical retelling of true events in 1913 Atlanta. Leo Frank, a Brooklyn-raised Jew living in Georgia, is put on trial for the murder of 13-year-old Mary Phagan, a factory worker under his employment. Already guilty in the eyes of everyone around him, his only defenders are a governor with a conscience, and, eventually, his assimilated Southern wife who finds the strength and love to become his greatest champion. Daring, innovative and bold, Parade is filled with the soaring music of Jason Robert Brown and a heart-wrenching story by Alfred Uhry and offers a moral lesson about the dangers of prejudice and ignorance that is just as pertinent in 2017. Playing for a strictly limited run from the 29th-31st of March at The Greenwood Theatre, London Bridge, you won't want to miss out on what promises to be an electric piece of theatre.
