Overview

Join us for a practical CV and Cover letter workshop led by Yinka, a Careers Consultant specialising in support for underrepresented students at King’s. As part of Women’s History Month, this session is designed to empower women by building career confidence and success through focused skill development, navigating organisational politics whilst forming strategic alliances, prioritising wellbeing and avoiding burnout.

You will have the opportunity to have your headshot taken by a photographer to use in online profiles.

What to expect from the session:

- Introduction to strengths, KASE and King’s Skills for the future

- Understand how to refine your CV, cover letter and applications for a selected role using KASE and King’s Skills for the future

- Find resources to help with current job applications

More about Yinka:

Yinka works directly with students and graduates through the delivery of extra-curricular workshops and one-to-one appointments. Yinka contributes to supporting under-represented learners through the Careers+ programme, including Disabled learners, students of diverse heritage and more.
