In light of Her Majesty The Queen's funeral, The Ministry of Sound Event has been moved to the 2nd of October. Any tickets purchased for the previous event date will be valid for the 2nd of October!

For the last 10 years one tradition in KCL has trumped all others, and that’s the Official Icebreaker event.

Feeling cool? We’re bringing the temperature all the way down to ice-cold at our opening Icebreaker event with the best commercial tunes in one of London’s most iconic venues, this is the perfect way to kickstart your Freshers Week!

This will SELL OUT well before the event so please don't leave it till when you move into university halls to avoid disappointment.

ENTRY

Bring your official photo ID (18+), and ticket confirmation (sent to your email) on the night. Event staff will will be at the door to give you access to the venue. 

Refer to your ticket confirmation (sent to the email address you used to purchase your ticket), for information about refund policy, T&C's.

Our venues have capacity limits and once full, will be UNABLE to let more people in (this includes VIPs). Once full, the venue will run a ‘one in-one out’ basis.

Proof of Age ID required for entry (18+)

  • Valid Passport
  • Drivers License

Journey There:

  • From Guy’s Campus: 13 minutes walk OR
  • Take 133 Bus from Union Street to Inner London Crown Court
  • From Strand Campus: Take 168/172 Bus from Aldwych/Drury Lane to Elephant & Castle/London Road

Journey Home:

  • From Guy’s Campus: 13 minute walk OR
  • From Strand Campus: Take 1/168 Bus from Elephant & Castle/London Road to Aldwych/Kingsway 

REFUND POLICY / T&C’s

Please note we will NOT REFUND tickets once purchased, should you change your mind or book clashing events.

NOTE: CHANGE OF DATE: We will not be issuing refunds for this event because it is still taking place, albeit on a different date (orginally Sept 18, now Oct 2nd), in light of the period of mourning for Her Majesty.

Please note that the venues have the right to refuse you entry with justified reason i.e. intoxicated, carrying drugs, abusive to staff. This is out of KCLSU's control, and won't be able to issue refunds if you are refused entry.

FULL REFUNDS will be issued to ticket holders in the following circumstances;

•           COVID-19 Restrictions are put back in place by UK Government, and event is cancelled.

•           The Venue cancel the event because of unforeseen circumstances (eg. Building is gutted by fire in the lead up to event).

•           Natural disaster prevents the event going forward.
