Overview

In this workshop we will identify the steps to tailoring your CVs, cover letters, personal statements and applications to the opportunity you’re applying for.

We will aim to:

• Describe the norms of CV-writing in the UK. 

• Identify steps towards tailoring a CV, cover letter, personal statement and/or application to the opportunity you’re applying for. 

• Use the STAR method to provide evidence of knowledge, attributes, skills and experience. 

You have a choice: you can attend this session just to listen and reflect on the ideas presented, OR you can participate actively by interacting with the facilitators and other participants. Either way is absolutely fine!

Nevertheless, we really encourage you to take the active approach. How about thinking of some questions to bring along to the session? You can ask us anything related to the topic.
