Alex Holland for Disabled Students' Officer 2013/14

In a report published this month by the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, KCL only met 61% of the most important criteria disabled students consider when applying to university. This was the second lowest score in London. Much work needs to be done to enable all students to have a successful and enjoyable time at university; I have many ideas of how to achieve this aim, including:

  • Lecture recordings on KEATS.

  • Making it easier to find accessibility information on and in freshers' guides.

  • Ensuring disabled students are receiving the best experience from student services.

  • Drop-in chats discussing student concerns.

  • And more!
