Candidate for the position of NUS LGBT+ Conference Delegate

RILEY BOTELLE

Hi, my name’s Riley and I’m a second year medical student running for two positions: NUS LGBT+ conference delegate and NUS Trans conference delegate.

Having had the wonderful opportunity to attend NUS LGBT+ conference last year I’m familiar with how the conference functions and the opportunities it provides.

Whilst a list of motions hasn’t been put forward yet (so I’m unable to clarify my positions on them) I’d be more than welcome to answer questions on my political priorities or opinions. Of personal importance to me is the centering of transgender issues (especially trans women/women aligned people), disability/healthcare access, class and issues surrounding addiction.

I would love the opportunity to represent trans and LGBT+ students at these conferences, and make sure that the voices and opinions of our community are put forward and contribute to national policy.
