Black Student's

"In the UK, job applicants with an African name are 25 per cent likely to get an interview, while those with a Muslim name are only 18 per cent likely to get an interview, compared to white peers, or those with a British sounding name."  This is one of many reasons why the fight for liberation is yet to be won!

The role of the KCLSU Black Student's Officer is to:

• run campaigns around issues affecting black students
• represent the needs of black students to KCL and KCLSU
• attend NUS Black Students’ Conference

This years racial equalities officer is Israel Sotonwa. To get in touch email israel.sotonwa@kcl.ac.uk
