Trustee Board
The Trustee Board has overall responsibility for the management and administration of KCLSU, which is delegated on a day-to-day basis to the Chief Executive, Steve Vaid, and the staff team.
This group of 12 people (eight students and four non-student professionals chosen for their expertise in certain areas) meet around six times a year and are the ultimate decision at KCLSU.
Key responsibilities
- Ensuring that KCLSU has a clear vision, mission and strategic direction and is focused on achieving these.
- Being responsible for the performance of KCLSU and for its behaviour.
- Ensuring that KCLSU complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Acting as guardians of KCLSU assets, both tangible and intangible, taking due care over their security, deployment and proper application.
- Ensuring that KCLSU's governance is of the highest possible standard.
