Event Description

Wednesday 10 September 2014

6pm - 8pm

Boland House Basement, Guy's Campus

Overview

The first experimental season from Science Gallery at King's College London: FREQUENCIES - Tune into Life, is taking place on Guy's Campus on Wednesday 10 September 2014.

The evening will offer the chance to hear sound pieces and see performances which explore the rhythms of our lives, from birth and sleep to blood flow, and are designed to get you thinking about how the body works.

Each piece has been created by artists working in collaboration with the local community – from young people to King's students and researchers, Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital staff and patients to traders from Borough Market.

Guests will hear unique sounds from musical collective Sawchestra, who create music with saws, experience a special performance by artist Bishi Bhattacharya and hear more about the vision for Science Gallery London. Resonance104.4fm will also run a live broadcast, in residency in the basement of the future Science Gallery London site.

All King's College London students are invited to attend the event. Just bring your student ID card along with you. Entrance will be on a first come first served basis.
