Since his first year, Ed has taken an interest in all aspects of university life, looking beyond his Biomedical Sciences degree. He immediately involved himself with the course representative system, sitting on the staff student committee and monitoring the common year one biomedical sciences course. He also began writing for Roar, the KCLSU student newspaper - an activity he would continue throughout his course - and participated in RAG Week. It was the writing that really interested Ed, and later he became editor of the RAG Mag, contributor to London Student - the student newspaper of the University of London Union - and a Roar editor, all of which stands him in good stead to oversee the communications of KCLSU.
